How to use JSON files

I have Windows 10 and Elements 15.  I did a back-up recently via Organizer, and now find the files are all JSON records.  I would like to reinstate all the photo's back into Organizer, but can't find out how to do it.  Can someone help me out?  (I'm low level tech...)

    Hi,

    In the organizer use the File -> Restore catalog function.

    In the backup, there should be a Backup.tly file. This is the last file to be written when you do a backup in organizer and contains all the information about the backup. The restore will use this file to restore your catalog and all the images.
