Question

I get "The serial number you have entered is invalid" error

I purchased Photoshop elements and had it installed and running on two laptops. However, one of them I needed to reimage, hence deactivated, uninstalled and reimaged the laptop. I reinstalled Photoshop Elements but unable to activate it now with the serial number I retrieved from my account.

Funnily enough, I noticed that the other laptop where my instance is up and running since first install, I have not signed in and it is working fine in activated mode. I dare not try to sign in now lest I get the same error there.

I tried contacting Adobe live agent help, but kept being transferred from agent to agent for 4-5 hrs to no avail. What should I do?

@jhon3206290457ya ...as I mentioned, I am not exactly sure what worked and why. I had downloaded the installer from my Adobe account during the first time installation last year and it was saved on the my cloud storage.  So I was using that instance to do a fresh installation. Even after repeated attempts at  uninstalling and installing, it did not work. Then, I did a fresh download of the Photoshop Elements software installer from the Adobe licensing website and with the new instance, the serial key worked. I did not receive the "invalid key" error.

Okay. The problem is finally solved. I am not sure how, though. I did a fresh  download of the installer again today and this time the serial key worked.
