Question

I have Adobe Photoshop Elements Retail Box and Would Like to Install it Using a Download For My Mac.

As the title states, I have an unused retail box, which includes a disc and license key for Adobe Photoshop Elements 7. I would like to install this on my Mac, which does not have a disc drive, and is not supported by the disc which stipulates it is for windows xp and vista. I was hoping I could apply my license key to a downloadable version.

Thanks.

There was no photoshop elements 7 for mac, just windows, so no it won't work on a mac, unless you use a windows install as suggested above.

System requirements | Adobe Photoshop Elements

Recommend you buy pse 2018, which is a native mac application.

As far as I know, a Windows serial number will not work for a Mac install

But, you can find out for yourself by downloading the installer and trying

kglad links in reply #1 here https://forums.adobe.com/thread/2440696 to download program installers

Of course, the Mac installer for that old version won't work on a new Mac

CS6 and earlier programs have not been tested and will not be updated for Mac El Capitan or later operating systems

-which means that you try to use CS6 and earlier at YOUR risk of having problems due to Apple updates

-Apple did not maintain backward compatibility with old programs in El Capitan or Sierra

--Adobe has a workaround to Apple's problem of not maintaining backward compatibility

--READ HERE https://forums.adobe.com/thread/2301916 for an Adobe solution to installing old programs, including a link to installing the old Java runtime that is required

What MAY work is to install http://www.parallels.com/ "emulator" on your Mac to run Windows programs
