I have PE 2023 and I am having problem with the organizer

When I upgraded to 2023 it migrated the catalog. When i open organizer in Folder view it is slow in opening. When it does open if I select a folder the application hangs. It will on occasion open the folder but it takes a long time. I have a powerful Dell Alienware box and its not using hardly anyMem/CPU/Disk/Network.the App seems to be having a hard time reading the catalog. Once in the folder I can move from pic to pic without long delays. Any ideas. I am running Win 11.

I think you will find that the bottleneck is the NAS (which is not recommended for the Organizer).

How large is the catalog. 

Where are the media files stored?  (Local or external drive, or on a network?) 

Is the catalog in the default location or have you moved it? 

Does it make any difference if you turn off all media analysis? (In the Edit>Preferences>Media Analysis dialog.)

Greg there are about 24K picts. you know I took the defaults on the install but let me look to see where they are. MY Picture directory is on a NAS sever so wondering it went there. It appears it is on the network NAS device. I cant get to that because it is stuck analyzing faces. when it ends I will try. I also am going to move the catalog to an NVM drive which should take the NAS out of the equation
