I need product activation of Adobe Photoshop Elements 6.0

Question

I am told that I get a product activation for this software because it is too old.  I am furious.  I paid 80.00 for it when it was new and had to go back to using Elements 5.0 because 6 version the background was way too dark and you couldn't make out the tabs and headings on the computer I had at the time.  I just got a new laptop and loaded 6.0 and it is more visible even though background still looks too dark.  Now the support is telling me they cannot give me a product activation after I have loaded it to a new computer.  I am furious.

You don't need to activate this product as far as I know. As long as you have entered your serial number, it should work without activation. The activation came when version 7 was released. are you getting any error messages? If so can you post them here as the errors might be something to do with your hardware and nothing about activation.

I have the same problem. I am getting a message that says I need to reactivate my copy (version6). This is most likely due to it being loaded on my new laptop. I don't have access to the internet on that pc, and support won't help because it's "end of life". Any suggestions would be appreciated
