Question

I've not needed to use RAW files till now. I have a licenced copy of Photoshop Elements 10 and can't find anywhere if I have to pay or get free upgrades to 11,12,13,14 or 15?

I don't want tp pay a monthly subscription for something I suspect i'll only use to process 3 or 4 photos a month. So am wondering if I can utilise my elements 10 licence for any later version of elements?

    Hi,

You can, as an alternative, download the trial of any version from here: Download Photoshop Elements | 15, 14, 13, 12, 11, 10  i.e. you don't need the serial key to activate for the trial period. PSE 15 supports the latest camera raw -9.8 . You would just need to update your camera raw from help>updates after you install the trial.

The trial runs for few days after which you would need to purchase the license.

    Thanks,

    Arshla

You don't need to pay for an upgrade in order to process Raw files from your camera in Elements 10.

Which camera make and model do you have?

If you do upgrade, then you can open Raw files directly in Photoshop Elements 15.

If you stick with Elements 10 and don't upgrade then you can download and install the free Adobe DNG converter. Using the DNG converter, you can batch convert Raw files from your camera into DNG format files. You can then open and edit the DNG files (not the Raw files) in Elements 10.

Your version 10 serial number is ONLY for version 10

There are no free upgrades to later versions, you must pay

    Buying version 15 is 64bit only http://www.adobe.com/in/products/photoshop-premiere-elements.html
