I want to remove adobe raw from Elements 2024.  I found instructions that said to delete the plug in.  I uninstalled the plug in, but adobe raw still appears in the edit menu.  What do I need to do to remove adobe raw?

What operating system are you using?

Why do you want to remove Camera Raw from PSE 2024?

I’m using Windows 11.  I can not access pictures that are not in camera raw.  Do you know of a way to access the non camera row pictures

Since you’re pretty sure Raw has been uninstalled, but it’s still showing in your File menu, do this.

Close PSE and navigate to >!--startfragment>

    C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Plug-Ins\Elements 2024\File Formats\ !--endfragment>

Look for a Camera Raw.8bi fileThis is what’s causing Raw to load every time you start the program.!--startfragment>

Your options include deleting this Camera Raw.8bi plugin (works but not recommended) OR renaming it something like Camera Raw.8bi.disabled.  !--endfragment>!--startfragment>

Restart PSE and you should be good to go.  Have you already tried this?

I had to reinstall the plug in to follow your instructions.  I followed your instructions and changed the camera raw.8bi to raw.8bi.disabled.  When I restarted PSE, I got the following message.  What should I do now?

Why did you need to reinstall the plugin to follow my instructions.
