Question

If I delete the catalog location pathname....

In resetting up PSE21, PSE Organizer used a Catalog Location path that is not correct. Now I have unwanted folders in the Organizer that I cannot delete. The obvious solution seems to be to delete that path and set a new one by creating a catalog for the path I want Organizer to use to locate and save my photos. What is the downside if I do this, or is another solution preferrable? Ex: create a new catalog?

@Kesata13, please explain in more detail what your problem is.  Are you talking about the catalog database files or your photo and video media files?  A catalog folder can be stored in any location and it can be moved anywhere using the OS file operations.  The default location for Windows is C:\ProgramData\Adobe\Elements Organizer\Catalogs\.  I frequently use the root of a drive partition to store the folder. Now, if you use a custom location, it is sometimes difficult to find the folder if you have to make changes or convert a catalog using the Manage Files dialog.

So, please explain what you mean when you say that PSE Organizer used a Catalog Location path that is not correct?  And what are the unwanted folders that you cannot delete?

thank you for your answer, but it does not solve my problem.
