Image not visible unless 'keyword/info' panel is also showing

Hi All,

Any advice appreciated. I have PSE running on a MacBook Pro latest Mojave OS and patches applied.

I cannot see any images after clicking through the thumbnails on the grid unless the 'keyword/info' panel on the RHS is also visible. As soon as I hide the the question mark comes back and I have a grey screen.

Very odd. I've tried reinstalling PSE but no luck.

Any ideas welcome.
