Why has my Adobe Photoshop started to restrict the size when I create a new file? I'm 74 and struggle to understand computers, so would appreciate a simple-worded solution:)

Sorry, but I'm struggling to understand your question. What version of Elements are you using and are you on a Mac or Windows machine?

What is the size of the file that you are trying to create? And what happens when you try to create it?

Have you previously been able to create the same size file? If so, try resetting the preferences file. Go to Edit>Preferences>General tab and click the Reset Preferences on next launch button.
