Import photos Samsung/Android

Hi.

When I import photos from a camera to Photoshop Elements 13 I use the function to import it in folders after date and sometimes I chose "create folder own name"

This function works nice, BUT when I will do the same with a Samsung/Android phone it searches the whole phone and the find a lot of photos connected to apps and also pdf-files. This take a lot of time for me to mark the photos I would like to import.

I have also when I import photos from the phone tried in photoshop elements 13 to chose import from folders instead of camera and then select the folder DCIM in the phone but then im not able to use the function to create folders after date like when I import from camera.

Any suggestion what I can do? Or maybe it works like I want in version 15?

Regards

Urban

Do you store your images on an SD card on the phone? If so, you can use a card reader and import from 'camera or card reader' and keep the ability to import in a data based folder structure.

    Hi.

Thanks for the answer. I don't have a SD card in the phone but I can use your idea and copy my DCIM folder to a SD and then import. It is a workaround and better than nothing

And you can also use Android Assistant tool to help you import photos on a Samsung/Android phone to PC or other HDD. It's easy and safe. It helps you access all photos.
