Imported video. Audio not staying in sync

When importing a video clip into Adobe Premiere Elements 2022 the audio is not in sync. If I sync the audio at the beginning of the clip then by the middle it is badly out again. When viewing the original on a my PC it is fine it is just after I have imported the clip it goes out. Is there a setting or somthing I have missed here. I have not had this problem in the past. Last week Adobe had an update for their Adobe Photoshop/Elements ???
