Importing Catalog Into Elements 18

I'm struggling to import my catalog from Elements 12 into 18, nothing I do works, can someone help me please?

Hi,

Thanks for this information.

I am assuming that your Elements 12 catalog is residing at the same machine where you're trying to convert it through Elements 2018.

Follow these steps to do the same:

1. In the Elements Organizer 2018, Select File > Manage Catalogs.

2. Click Convert.

3. Select the catalog, you want to convert, from the list that is displayed. If the list doesn't show your required catalog, check the checkbox at bottom "Show Previously Converted Catalogs"

4. If the list still doesn't show your intended catalog, then it might be possible that you created your catalog at some custom location in Elements 12. (You can check your Elements 12 catalog location by going to Help menu > System Info in Elements ORganizer 12 and checking the catalog location there)
In this case, click on "Find More Catalogs" (in convert dialog in Organizer 2018) and browse to this location where you have your version 12 catalog.
5. Select it, hit convert and Click Done.

Can you please mention what is the issue you are facing while converting or restoring?

Thank you for your reply.

I've tried converting 2 catalogs (the only 2 that I could find) that basically brought in nothing.

I can-not find anything that will bring in the catalog I have that has thousands of photos I've cataloged through various different version of Elements.

Everything is in my laptop, all my photos, Elements 18 is installed but I don't know how to find my catalog to get it up and running in the new software.
