Importing from an old version of Elements?

I just bought and installed Elements 2018. I had used Elements 8 in the past. I have tried to import into 2018 Organizer the photos in Elements 8 Organizer, which have a file name like "1029.mst." Elements 2018 Organizer says that i cannot import because ".mst" is not a supported file type. How do I move all the work I did in Elements 8 into Elements 2018?

    You can back up Organizer 8 catalog and restore it in Organizer 2018. Please see instructions at following link:
