importing picture to Elements 15 from iPhone7

Hi,

When trying to import pictures into Elements Organizer 15 from an iPhone 7 the wrong date is being attached to the pictures in the preview pane.  It should be showing date taken but instead is showing some other random date.  Pics from December are showing with May dates from January with April dates - no rhyme or reason and it's a complete mess. 

There is an adobe bug # established for this problem EO-4041467. 

I had been working with phone support but they tell me the issue has aged out and now I need to get support at the forums.  Please help.
