Installed PSE 2021 but can't open.

Downloaded PSE 2021 on Mac but can't open.  Keeps asking for ID and password but nothing happens. I've tried changing passwords, reinstalling, etc., but keeps returning to same issue. Someone help me please! I've lost the will to live!!
