installing Photoshop Elements 8 on windows 11 24h2 crashes the PC

I tried twice the procedure and in both cases the installation of Photoshop Elements 8 crashed my new windows 11 24h2, forcing me to do a recovery, fully resetting the PC.

Installation seems initially good and Photoshop Elements 8 runs, but at first restart after installation the PC tries a recovery that fails and only way to recover the PC is to do a full recovery from USB, removing all apps, customization and data.

Did anybody experience something similar?

Any idea on how to solve?
