IPhone video works in Win11, but not PSE2020

I have Win11, installed the HVEC codec, and Windows can show the IPhone videos no problem. When I use PSE 2020, trying to import the Iphone ..Mov files is rejected saying no codec is installed - I had deleted the cache files and restarted the computer. I have also deleted the HVEC codec restarted the system, then reinstalled it - again, Win11 works with the Iphone video's ,but PSE 2020 rejects those .mov files from being imported saying no proper codec...

Any thoughts ?

I have no problem with the HEIF pictures from the IPhone, just the HVEC .mov files.

Correct answer Greg_S.

And I can now confirm that my .mov files that won't play in Elements are HDR files.  I used MediaInfo to figure that out.  Thanks again, @formerHPer !!

@formerHPer, thanks for reporting back that HDR is the problem.  I was not aware of that issue.  I shall have to investigate further to see if that solves the problem with some of my iPhone files.

Added:  My iPhone was set to record HDR videos.  I am turning that option off until I need it.

I just connected with ADOBE online support and figured out that on my IPhone the HDR option was set  = ADOBE DOES NOT SUPPORT HDR video. This is not a HEVC codec issue, but a HDR video issue. I have switched off HDR and that should resolve the problem. they did say I can convert the HDR video using a HandBrake
