Is it possible to install photoshop elements 12 in the year 2026

Which operating system are you using? If Windows 11: be careful with PS Elements 12. There have been reports of users who broke their Windows installation when they installed PS Elements 12.

If you have windows 7- nope.   Mainstream support for it ended 11 years ago.

That version (Photoshop elements 12) was released 14 years ago-- I wouldn’t expect much from it if you ever could get it to work--- it cannot handle large blocks of memory for one-- I seem to recall such old version could only physically see 2 GB of ram at the most.  Activation servers (which have been shut down for over 10 years) are probably the least of your worries----some have it installed, many do not. Why?

There have been many changes to Operating systems in the past 14 years which make using such old software next to impossible- doesn’t mean it can’t be done though. 

pse 2012 was a 32 bit program: it won’t work on new mac OS’s.  Apple killed off support for 32 bit programs a few years ago.

I tried to install pse 2010 on a new win11 computer:   I had to use a system restore point to get it to work again.   I’m done even trying to get that particular version to work.

So much depends upon what OS, and what OS version you have.
