Is it possible to transfer a photoshop mac 11 photo to word, then using double click on photo to edit

When using windows Photoshop elements, I can transfer a photo to word by pasting,

then by double clicking on pasted photo, get Photoshop to open showing image which I can then further edit, and saves back to word when I close

but this does not work with Photoshop mac 11

However, if I open a word document made in windows Photoshop, when I position the curser on a photo it comes up with (double click to edit on Photoshop) as in window, but then comes up with (unable to find program)

It does this also on windows, but only if Photoshop elements isn't open
