Is my processor too old?

Question

Have just installed PE 15 in my computer/ thought it was OK with system requirements but keeps crashing

Runs on a Processor - Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-2600S CPU @ 2.80GHz, 2801 Mhz, 4 Core(s), 8 Logical Processor(s)

Am not IT savvy enough to know if this is not enough power- system requirements says 16GHz or greater processor needed

All other requirements seem to be met

Any help would be appreciated
