Issues with PSE 2022 Catalogue & Not Working With GPS Place Metadata (W10 Version)

My phone, a Samsung Galaxy Note8 (N950F) fully updated with the latest Android offerings. Likewise a W10 PC with all the latest updates etc.

My photos have GPS metadata with this format.

 - Typically

GPS

GPS Version: 2.2.0.0

GPS Latitude: 050,58,09N

GPS Longitude: 000,01,18E

GPS Altitude Ref: 0

GPS Altitude: 75.00m

I've searched Help, Forum et al and can find no guidance as to whether I have ticked all the right setup boxes etc to no avail. The photo will not Place on the map as I would have expected it to. If I've missed out on some instructions somewhere - or a YouTube video my apologies. Any guidance or experiences on how to get it working would be appreciated. It's a facility that's not been the most successful (or missing) for many years and I'd hoped that this release it would all magically work!

Can you tell us in more detail what your issue is?  What are you doing, what are you expecting to happen, and what actually happens.

Frankly, for the reasons you have described, I don't use Places or the map function.  I prefer to use keyword tags to name my photo locations exactly as I want them.
