I have a jpeg file that was editrd and saved in PS Elements  14. Now when I open the jpeg, it will only open in RAW and not as a regular jpeg. How do I stop this?

As far as I know, you can't... (if you are opening from the editor)

In older Elements versions, you could set the file type to jpeg with 'Open As', but that does no longer work.

On the other hand, at least on Elements 15, if you open from the Organizer: the already converted files open directly in jpeg, skipping the ACR stage.

It is so frustrating because, although I click cancel in the RAW editor, it appears the image changes significantly.

The image was shot in jpeg, edited with only light and contrast corrections and then saved as a new file in jpeg.

I opened for another project and inadvertently opened in RAW. I though I canceled it but somehow the file was altered. The only difference I see between this and my other files is that the origin of this file shows my camera and the origin of other files edited and saved from PSE show an origin of PSE.
