Of course the photos are in different subfolders. Ok, I'm sure it will take a long time and I'll wait until the end. Existing tags are also read in. I don't get an error message after completion. I see some of them in the folder structure, but I can't automatically import them into the album section.
If I have to import every single folder into the albums from the folder structure, I will still be working next year.
Maybe it's because the photos are on a second hard disk, which is integrated into the laptop?

I'm wondering, for example, if I only import the "2023" folder, it works. However, if I then import the "2020" folder, the same process runs, but there is no image in the "2020" album after the import is complete. Not even after several attempts. It only works if I import each subfolder separately. But as already mentioned, this would take a very long time.

I am not understanding the problem you are describing.  In the Organizer, Albums and Folders are different.  I don't know what labels the German version gives to these panels and, even in English, users sometimes describe folders as albums and albums as folders.

It is only when you import from a camera or card reader that you can automatically place the imported photos into an Organizer Album:

However, in earlier versions of Elements it was possible to automatically create Albums in other ways.  So what version of Elements are you using?  And if you used an earlier version with a catalog that was set up, it is possible to convert the earlier catalog to work with a later version of Elements.  There would be no need to import the images again.

Are the files really in just one folder?  Or are they in multiple sub-folders?

How are you importing the images?

Importing 90,000 images at one time will take a very long time.  Are you importing these photos from another Elements Organizer catalog?  Do the images already have keyword tags from a prior catalog.  This will probably add to the time necessary to import the images to a new catalog.

Did you wait long enough.  A successful import will generate a message that the import has been completed.

Did you get any errror messages?
