I am trying to lasso an image to insert it into another photo. I know how to lasso the image and outline it. I don't know how to grab it to finish off my project. How do I lasso it and how do I insert it into the other photo. Thanks in advance.

  1. Open picture B, the one that you wish to add an object to. Minimize this.
  2. Open picture A with the object. Activate the lasso tool, or the magnetic lasso tool, to outline the object completely. You will see the outline ("marching ants"). Now you have a selection. Go to Edit>copy to place the selection on the clipboard'
  3. Go back to B, then Edit>paste. The selected object will come in on a separate layer.
  4. Activate the move tool to position B, and resize with the corner handles of the bounding box, if necessary.
