Am I able to print just one layer of several layers? If so, what are the exact steps to do that?

Yes, this is very easy to do.  Simply click on the eye icon of the layer(s) that you don't want to print.  This will turn off the visibility of the layer(s).  When you go to the Print dialog, only the visible layers will be printed:
