Legend for a group photo

Mary,

Adding numbers to each of the 35 faces is not difficult, but it takes a lot of time.

For each face, you have to create a new text layer with the number, resize and move the layer.

Having 35 layers to create and placing them accordingly is very slow.

If you are in a hurry, may I suggest a manual workaround?

Print a full page of your group.

Use a transparent or semi transparent paper and draw the numbers manually.

Take a photo or a scan of that paper.

Use this photo as a single layer in multiply mode.

Try using the quick selection tool and once the group is correctly selected press Ctrl+J to create a new layer with transparent background.

Then turn off the background layer by clicking its eyeball in the layers pallet.
