Lightroom won't open Photoshop

I've never done this before so I don't know if I'm doing it correctly.

Lightroom has the option to open the image your editing in Photoshop. I selected this option but it's stuck a little past halfway and hasn't moved or done anything in over an hour.

We're really sorry for all the trouble. Could you please let us know the exact version of Lightroom & Photoshop you are using now?

You can check the version by going to Photoshop/Lightroom > help menu > system info

Evey time I try to open system info in Photoshop my Photoshop closes out. I have Adobe Photoshop Elements 10.

Lightroom is OS Version: 10.0 [17134]
