Question

Location of facial recognition data storage?

Where does Adobe Photoshop Elements store the faciale recognition data like

  1. facename as I enter it in the face recognition
  2. photo or filename of the respective face
  3. coordinates of the respective face, x, y, width, height or percentage of width/height of the photo

I found a sqlite-database in the catalog with the main tables tag_table and media_table. Between the two tables are to intermediate tables face_segment_to_tag_table and face_segment_info_table, but I am not sure, whether this is the data I look for.

Any comments on this or further hints?

My aim is a report like this:

facename; path/filename, x, y, %width, %height

or similar.

Regards an thanks, AA

  • I have over 160,000 files containing recognized faces.  The json folder uses 414 MB of storage space.
  • You can move the catalog folder to any location you wish.

Sorry.  That information is beyond my pay grade.

The data is stored in the json folder at the following location:

C:\ProgramData\Adobe\Elements Organizer\Catalogs\My Catalog\FaceAnalysis  (where "My Catalog" is the name of the catalog).

A .json file is created for every image that is passed through the face recognition analysis.

Thank-you!

And where do I find the reference to the filename and the person's name? It could be person_id and asset_id?
