If the files are not present on the computer, can you use the program interface sufficiently to zoom in on the photos and take a screenshot of them?

I assume you or your computer expert have done a sufficient search of the computer to find the files.  If you are still looking for them, I recommend a free software called Everything that is very efficient at searching for files using partial name search terms such as .jpg.

If the files are not on the computer, and they are not on an external hard drive that you have access to, then the photos can't be recovered.

The Adobe Photoshop Album Starter Edition 3.2 just catalogs the files/images, so unless the person had the files/images on a external drive or deleted the images, the files/images are still on the computer and you don't need the Adobe Photoshop Album Starter Edition 3.2 to get the original image files.

Is that Windows XP on the old pc?

Did you look in

C:\Documents and Settings\[User Name]\My Documents\My Pictures\Adobe\Digital Camera Photos

copy of the relevant Adobe KB

Thank you for your answer. Yes I just checked and it is Windows XP... However I have already taken the computer tower to a computer scientist to analyze and he does not find on the tower the photo files that are in this software... I do not know what to do anymore. Do you have a solution?
Thank you
