Lost Fx - help!

I downloaded a demo of Elements+ and somehow lost all my effects after the demo loaded (froze the program the first time) and I went into Fx.  I have PSE 15  Now all my pre-loaded effects are GONE. I have no Fx at all. How can I get them back- and is Elements + ($12.00) worth it? I want to be able to use smart objects.

Never mind.  I had a tech remotely access my computer. They had to do a complete uninstall/re-install. So I am guessing the Elements + is NOT compatible with PSE 15 at all.

The demo I downloaded was for PSE 15.  It crashed my PSE 15 on opening the first time after the install. Once I got my program open, the first thing I went to was my Fx  panel. I clicked on something in there, and lost ALL content from my Fx.  I uninstalled the demo hoping my files would come back, but they  were gone. It took a re-install of the PSE15 to get them back.   My other question was whether or not Elements + would actually allow me to work with smart objects. I have some downloaded content that requires the smart objects to be editable (like neon effects and such) that I can't use right now.
