Mac upgrade to Catalina

I have just upgraded my Mac to Catalina.

I use Adobe photoshop elements 2019.

Every time I edit a photo I try to exit that photo and receive the message "iac operation failed" and I have to exit organizer and reload it . I then have access to the edited photo.

Any ideas please on how I can stop this
