Making pages for digital scrapbook.

I have been making digital scrapbooks for three years with version 2021.  I recently downloaded version 2024 from the App store on my Mac.  After opening a new page with required dimensions, when I open a background paper, it changes the size from the 11"x8.5" to square.  Cannot to get it to go back to the size I want.  Was very easy to do in Version 2021.

    Does this happen with all background papers?

    Are you using an Elements background paper or one that you have imported from elsewhere?

    Does your computer meet the system requirements?

    I know very little about Macs, but you can try resetting the preferences.  Go to Edit>Preferences>General tab and click the Reset Preferences on next launch button.

    I actually didn't have any, not since Thanksgiving.   Hve been sick the past few days, so much of what I've posted in the last 3 or 4  days has been short.

    Make the first layer, copy that layer a bunch, done.
