There is a guided edit in Elements 2024 and 2025 that will allow you to do that.

There are also a number of other tools in Elements 2025 that use generative AI, most notably the Remove tool which allows you to remove objects from a photo.  It is not as sophisticated as Photoshop CC, but it works pretty well.

Is Photoshop Elements different to Photoshop?  I've been looking at a few online tutorials for Generative AI but can't see the same things on my dashboard, so I'm guessing they are 2 different things.  And if thats the case - is it possible to do generative AI with photoshop elements?  I'm looking to expand the background of an image to fit a crop that I need for a website.  Thanks

Two things I can  suggest:  While using the editor press F1.

The second:   A pdf I created that covers most of the basic stuff, from pse 2021 and pse 2022, but nothing from psee 2024.

If you are just beginning with Elements, I recommend that you view the Guided Edits which give you hands-on help for many common editings tasks.  There are over 60 Guided Edits and Elements 2024 has a Search box to help you find particular kinds of edits.  (Make sure you have a photo open in the Editor before selecting one of the Guided Edits.)

Adobe has not produced printable (PDF) manuals for any of its products for several years.

It's all about online help docs and video tutorials these days. Probably because they're deemed to be more engaging, cheaper to produce and easier to keep up to date.
