Have downloaded Trial version of Elements 2018 and imported photo,s from Elements 7. During download Albums failed to download. How can I now import the albums from E/7 ?

    My guess is that you did 'import' your picture files into the new catalog in the PSE 2018 format. That can recover tags, but not albums, stacks or version sets (if you have 'written metadata to files').

    Two different cases:

    - you install PSE 2018 in the same computer as PSE7. You simply use the catalog manager in PSE 2018 to 'convert' the old catalog to a new one in the new format. The old one is renamed with a -1 suffix and is still available for PSE7. If you miss the warning dialog during PSE 2018 installation, you can still convert from the catalog manager.

    - you install PSE 2018 on a new computer: you have to use the backup and restore process to move your photo library and the catalog at the same time. At the end of the  process, the catalog conversion should be prompted.
