Missing tags after update

Hello yuo wise people! Hope you can help.

Just updated my 2022 to 2024 version. Converted the Catalogue but now 2024 Organizer doesn't find pics with a selected tag. It only shows 20 pics but there is hundreds of them with that tag.

In 2022 version everything works fine. Didn't uninstall that yet.

Correct answer Greg_S.

Reinstalling the Organizer does not change the catalog because you have already created a catalog for Elements 2024, so the program thinks you have your desired catalog.  In this case, it seems it would be a catalog to which you have imported all of your photos but without including the tags.

So, the old Elements 2022 Catalog should be under the default location (unless you have changed it):

C:\ProgramData\Adobe\Elements Organizer\Catalogs

If an unsuccessful attempt has been made to convert the old catalog, it may be named My Catalog 1 (or some other numeric suffix).  Also, when you go to File>Manage Catalogs and click the Convert button, that catalog may not appear in the dialog list.  If that is the case, check the Show Previously Converted Catalogs box:

It may be helpful to look at the last modified date to figure out which catalog to convert.

I think it works now. I opened 2022 Organizer and Cehed errors. It sas No errors but i ckicker Repair. The result was Unanble to correct.

I have a freash catalogue backup, restored it in 2022 and then Converted in 2024. Tags are now OK and Tag Tree appeared, too so now I have my old  tag groups working.

Thanks for quick answers. Not very usual in big companies.

Have a nice autumn wherever you are.

If you are importing files, you did not properly convert the catalog.  You can still try to perform a conversion so that all of your previously tagged files will have exactly the same tags as the previous catalog.  Importing the files and using your screenshot dialog to include your keyword tags will not be the same if you have created any system People, Places or Events tags.  For People, any that have been face recognized will show up as keyword tags under the Imported Keywords Category.

Very little has changed in the Organizer between Elements 2022 and 2025, other than syncing photos with the Adobe Cloud.

Thanks Greg. I'll try that again but  I made everything  install software told and it ended and said, that everything is OK.If I try to find catalogue manually, wrere is it?  Elements decided the folder.

BTW. If I uninstall 2024 an  then install it again, do I have to remove the registaration first?

How did you convert the catalogue?  When you launched the Elements 2024 Organizer for the first time, you should have been offered the opportunity to convert your previously used (Elements 2022) catalogue.  Did you say yes?  If not, did you use the File>Manage Catalogs>Convert button?

The conversion may take a long time.  Did you get a message saying that the conversion has completed successfully?

Are you sure that you have selected only the one tag and that no other filters are enabled?  Is this a problem with only one tag?  Is it a keyword tag or a system People, Places, Events tag?

When instalin I did just what you said. The result was as I told, only few pic were tagged.

I have  also tried your other method ans now i cannos see only pics in Pictures folder. My pica are on drive 😧 two folders, the other foe originals (imposted) ans the other foe edited pics. Now the Folder view doesn't show any folders in D:. If I Import 😧 Organizer wants to impoar ALL the pics frod 😧 and theres plenty I do not want to Import.

But I got this:

And now the tags  appeared into imported pics. Maybe I must Import  all and then delete those I don't want. Over 100 000 pics ...
