Question

Moved to Windows 10 and now . . .

. . . Photoshop Elements 2.0 keeps opening with a couple of "Help / Recipes / etc." dialogs along the right edge; nothing to be found in PE's Help -- only reiteration that, yes, there is a "Help / Rrecipes / etc." function on you computer now.  Never had this before Windows 10.

How to stop those useless "Help / Recipe / etc." boxes from showing up ever again.

No, I have no interest whatsoever in moving to any other version of PE -- this has served me completely satisfactorily.

Thank you.  Your help will be, I hope, truly more helpful than anything I've found in the program or on-line.

Appreciated.

In photoshop elements 2 go to Edit>Preferences>General and check Save Palette Locations.

Then after you arrange the palettes as you wish, they should stay the same between sessions.

If that doesn't work or the Save Palette Locations is already checked, then right click on the pse 2 shortcut and click Run as adminstrator to get the settings to stick, arrange your palettes and hopefully they will carry over between sessions.

You only have to do the Run as administrator once.
