Need Help Installing Photoshop Elements

I am new to forums, and posting here because I can't get through to anyone at Adobe.  I currently use Photoshop Elements 14. I purchased the CD a year ago from Staples, and want to install it on a new laptop. I have both the Redemption code and the Serial Number and from what I understand I just need to type in the redemption code when prompted. However, I don't get that prompt. Every time I try to run the CD it wants me to sign up for a free trial.  I don't need a free trial and I DO NOT want to download it from online, I just want to install the program from my own CD.  HOW do I get it to just install on the laptop?  I'm computer friendly but not very tech savvy. If anyone can help in layman's terms I would greatly appreciate it.
