Need help with going from dslr to full frame

I bought a Rebel about 7 years ago.  It has been great and easy to upload and develop photos.   Recently I bought a full frame Canon EOS 6D.  I love it except I cant see ay of my pictures unless it is jpeg in photoshop.  I have photoshop elements 8.  I take pictures in both jpeg and RAW.  Is there any upgrade I need to do?  Adobe says it cannot read the RAW file.  Please help.  I am getting so frustrated.  Thank you in advance.

You need Adobe Camera Raw 7.3 to open Canon EOS 6D raw photos, for more details please see Cameras supported by Camera Raw

PSE 8 comes with ACR version 5.5 - 6.2 , for details Camera Raw plug-in and Adobe application compatibility​

You can either use the DNG converter Adobe Digital Negative Converter 9.x  to convert the files to DNG format and then import them in PSE, else you can download a free trial of PSE15 from Download Photoshop Elements | 15, 14, 13, 12, 11, 10
