Need Help with Photoshop Elements 15

I am new to Photobucket Elements and am trying to make a project from another tutorial.  I have my back ground layer and am adding a picture on top of that background.  So far I am to the part where I need to put the pic on the background and they are showing that I have to click on a check mark to be able to put the pic on the background.  I cannot find that tic anywhere on my screen.  On their screen there is a row of commands under the row where file, layer and such are, but I do not have that???  The label where the check mark is, is bicubic.  Can someone help me find this on my screen???  It would be very appreciated.  Thank you.
