New Adobe Photoshop Elements 2019 Organizer does not display all HEIC Images

I think this is something for Adobe Support. To begin, I run latest macOS Mojave 10.14, so this one below does not apply.

Cannot work with HEIC/HEVC files captured in iOS devices | Elements 2019 https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop-elements/kb/cannot-work-with-heic-hevc-files-in-photoshop-elements-2019.html?red=a

My problem is, that some heic files are correctly displayed in the Organizer after import, others not.

The miniature image is a broken file symbol and as well when opening it in the Organizer, only a broken file symbol is displayed.

The files where shot on an iPhone X and are of course not damaged, they are all correctly displayed in the Finder, with Preview and with Apple's Photos.

When I edit the files in the Photoshop Elements 2019 Editor, it will be opened with a "Camera Raw 10.4 – iPhone X" window. I certainly could then open it in the editor and save a JPG, but this is certainly something I do not want to do with every single image.

As I said before, some HEIC pictures work, other's don't. Among the pictures not working are panoramic shots, but as well ordinary photos.

A fix would be greatly appreciated, since I bought the upgrade to 2019 specifically because of the HEIC support.

Thanks, Bernd

I have the same problem.

Unfortunately, only the last version of Lightroom supports HEIC. I have not been able to get any feedback from Adobe for Photoshop element 2019... Photoshop CC 2019 does not support this format either, which is incredible !!

They are supposed to be the professional reference photo and video software company and they do not even support this new standard.
