New and need advice on opening files

Hello.

I was watching a YouTube video on how to use PS Elements18.

He was removing the background of one picture to put on top of another picture(I know that's basic).

When he opened the picture to use as the new background it opened as a detached window and not a new tab.

I have searched the settings(I know its in there) but I cant find it.

Mine opens as a new tab but want it to open as a detached tab/window.

Where do I find the setting for this to change it?

    Click on Edit at the top of the screen. Click on Preferences>General. This will open this dialogue box. You will need to Allow floating documents and enable floating document. The above picture is a copy of my screen.
