New PSE 2018 Instructions file PDF confusing/wrong

So I downloaded the newly available instructions for PSE 2018 Elements

(see one of the recent posts for download link

https://helpx.adobe.com/pdf/photoshop-elements_reference.pdf ).

On page 80 they discuss "Photomerge styles match".

This is a great function so I try to follow instructions and promptly get stuck on #1

1 Open the image, and select Enhance > Photomerge > Photomerge Style Match

My enhance menu does not include "Photomerge"! I tried quick, guided and expert. Nothing there. On  Page 81 looks like it was a Quick type edit.

So what am I doing wrong, and where is the Photomerge Style Match?

You are right, the pdf has not been updated for that feature.

Photomerge Style Match has been removed in recent versions, this part of the pdf is a remnant of older versions.

In the past, Photomerge was changed in the interface. It's now in the 'Guided edits', not in the 'Expert' mode. A quick look at the 'guided edits' mode in the help file shows that that part is up to date.

You can expect other errors like that , and it's important to report them here as soon as possible.

Another note: Photomerge is also accessible from the organizer (still in the menu Edit >> photomerge). There is no mention of that in the help file...

Thanks. I thought as much. I also tried the photomerge from the organizer in hope that it would act different. Nope. However you may be able to help. See it photomerge panorama works for you, if correct geometric distortion box is checked. Works for me unchecked, but goes thru the motions (you even briefly see the photomerged pic in the bin, and then blinks the screen and goes back to photomerge menu. This has been driving me nuts, does 99% of work and does not show the result.

I have chosen test files which I would never have thought they could merge...

    The pieces:

    Without geometric

    With geometric
