Newbie requiring photoshop help!

Good day,

 

I am very new to this and I'm a tad stuck. I have an image of someone reading a newspaper but want to superimpose a different book to what they're reading, however, want to keep the fingers grasping the reading material to look realistic.

I am clueless as to how to start doing this. Are there any support out there to help me?

Basically it requires selecting the newspaper with one of the selection tools, e.g.lasso tool, and removing it. Then, making a selection of the book and inserting it as a replacement. It may be tricky with fingers involved. Certain areas may require use of the clone stamp tool.
