I had adobe trial.. today I ordered the adobe photoshop elements 2018 for iMac high Sierra. I paid with my credit card. it said I could not download it.. had to wait 24 hours for billing. I called support took 20 minutes to get someone, he then transferred me to someone else she then said oh you need to speak to someone else. I am  on hold again going on 20 minutes. I want to cancel my order.. how is one to do that when you cannot get through to anyone and they understand nothing....

will never do this again1111

You know that you are not writing to Adobe in this Elements user to user forum. So, what can other users like you say about your issue?

It's very sad, because it's so easy to avoid those problems on your side.

The key issue is about communication. There is a good reason Adobe prefers using 'chat' sessions over phone discussions. Just imagine my conversation with the help desk in India and my poor English accent. Using the chat option is the first thing to consider. Generally you get immediate contact and both sides must be clear, concise and to the point. Your problem is typically something where other users can't help (account, payment, registration...) Reading your post, we are not even sure if your problem is about downloading or payment.

So, the easy way to avoid problems:

    - Never pay before testing. You can first download and fully test the trial version for 30 days. If you are happy, you can pay later and validate your trial version into a full one just by entering the license key. If you have problems in downloading, you have not paid and even other users here can give you some advice.

    - If the trial test is ok but you have problems with your credit card payment, use the chat option offered in the help : "contact us"

    Contact Customer Care

and follow the questions until you get the option to start a chat session.

    - For commercial issues, also use the chat option.

Note that for help in using the software, asking in this forum generally works better, especially with older Elements versions which are no longer officially supported or for specific hardware questions.

I had tested it and month went by. All was well . Paid for full version and went to download it it would not let me...Said I had to wait 24 hours for payment to go through. Not sure why that was, never happened anywhere else.. Then to be thrown around with waiting as they transferred me over and over.. While I was on hold I started a chat session.. That finally worked girl was very nice.Perhaps Adobe should say use CHAT first..... I canceled the order.....

Thanks for taking the time to give the relevant details.

This should be useful for users in the same situation.

Unfortunately, most new forums members do browse the questions and solutions only when it is too late....
