NIK Collection not working with trial version of Elements 2018

I have downloaded the trial version of elements 2018 which is working for me except I can't get it to work with the NIK collection, I have tried to point it to the google folder but elements will only let me choose from adobe folders everything else is greyed out.

Is this because it's the trial version or is it not compatible with the 2018 version of elements?

Yes it could be worthwhile downloading the latest version from DxO which may be more up to date than your current installed version. If installation works as previously, I would expect PSE 2018 to be offered as an option for installing Nik Collection as a plugin. They may use your email address to promote future DxO products but that is obviously optional.

The trial is usually the same as the full purchased version but time limited. How are you installing. Normally you can download the collection and run the installation, selecting the Elements Editor during installation.

I have previously installed the NIK collection and have been working with it in elements 11.

Would it be worth trying a reinstall seeing as I don't seem to be able to make elements 2018 pick up the plugin?
