Nikon Software for Download & Picture File Grayed Now Out on Computer in PSE

I downloaded photos with Nikon NX-1 software without doing anything. Photos came up automatically in PSE, which is where I wanted to edit them. They are in JPEG and they were never in RAW.  Now when I want to upload pictures to an outside printing service,  the files are grayed out on my computer and I can't upload them. I can see and view the photos on the NX-1 window. The edited photos are in a folder that Nikon system created ad named. I view photos too on PSE Organizer. What do I have to do to be able upload these photos foe printing?
