I take a lot of animal photos. sometime at night. their eyes are glowing, not red. I have version 2021 and there is no "perfect pet" option in Guided Mode - Special Edits. thank you for your help.
You take a lot of animal photos, sometimes at night, and you're noticing that their eyes glow in the pictures. Since you're using Photoshop Elements 2021, you don’t have the "Perfect Pet" option under Guided Mode Special Edits. That feature was introduced in Elements 2022, which is why you can't find it.
Because the regular Red Eye Removal tool doesn’t work well for animal eye glow (which can be green, white, or blue), you’ll need to fix it manually. One good method is using the Healing Brush Tool or Clone Stamp Tool in Expert Mode. Zoom in on the animal’s eyes, sample a nearby normal color, and carefully paint over the glowing parts. You can even paint a dark pupil for a more natural look.
Another easier option is using the Burn Tool. Set the Range to Midtones and Exposure to around 15-20%. Then gently darken the glowing areas with soft strokes. This works well if the glow isn’t too strong and you want a fast fix.
If you often edit pet photos, upgrading to Photoshop Elements 2022 or newer might be worth it. The new "Perfect Pet" Guided Edit can automatically remove glowing eyes and enhance other parts of your pet photos too.
