No Type Shows Up On A Mac - Why?

We found the same question asked years ago, with no real answer.

The tutorial instructions Do Not Work!

When you try to follow them, Nothing happens!

No type shows up, hitting "enter" doesn't do squat.

I'd like to be able to put a copyright on the image, but I can't do diddly!
