Not enough RAM .... again

I am working with RAW photos from Canon 5D *and now also R5 - have been for well over a decade and not an issue - but lately, it's getting frustrating. This 'note enough RAM' is starting to piss me off. I had my comp cleaned, I bought more RAM which I now don't need - I had 16 before, it's always around 46% when PS is running - I read the forums, tried several options, nothing. I make a couple of pics and then, out. I'm not new at this and no, I haven't been changing any settings or doing anything unusual. Photos, as always. Same basic editing. This is something new. And it's driving me nuts. My customers are slowly sick of excuses.
